Museum of Science and History 

Jacksonville's Museum of Science and History (MOSH) is a great way to spend a day on the First Coast.  The facility features a 25 pound alligator snapping turtle that is fed daily at 1:30 P.M.  There are many other permanent and temporary art and history exhibits, including "Ribbon of Life: The Story of the St. Johns River", "Ancient Ways: The River's First People" and "Maple Leaf: Port at Last."

If you are in the area after dark, nothing is better than visiting the Alexander Brest Planetarium, located inside of the MOSH.

University Gallery

Featuring regular showings of student and faculty created art, the University Gallery is located on the University of North Florida Campus, Jacksonville Southside/Beach area.

Lightner Museum

Right in the middle of scenic Old St. Augustine, the Lightner Museum is located in Henry Flagler's former grand Alcazar Hotel building.  Features a large collection of late 19th century art.

Great place to visit if you like lighthouses, this is one of the best in the country
